Don't have much left to do...

Just have to put one sleeve in and sew both sleeve flounces on, and then the Simplicity 3685 mockup will be done! I'm going to use a pattern I found on the web to make the sleeves, because I want them to look a very specific way. I've also been sick and am finally starting to feel better,

I also decided I am going to make my own Easter outfit this year, using Simplicity 1690, views B and C. I will make view A at some point, when I need something a bit fancier. I don't really have any dresses to wear to fancy gatherings. Might as well make one.

Last but not least, I've signed up for a block of six sewing lessons not too far from where I live. The first class is next Wednesday, I believe. It's an hour class and I hope to pick up lots of helpful hints. I already know my way around a sewing machine but learning from someone with experience doesn't hurt. The class also goes into handsewing, which I haven't done since I was in middle school. That should be interesting.

  1. I made (for Jenna or anyone else) this year. Ironically, I cut it out two winters ago for Emily, who outgrew the fabric pieces even before they were ever assembled. "sewing machine for beginners

  2. I wish I could make such outfits for myself too. I am desperately looking for a sewing machine for beginner that I could operate easily and sew such stuff.
